What do you think? Is science full of spiritual warfare? My story, A Soul's Warfare: The Hot Marble, connects the two. Imagine a debate between physicists Stephen Hawking and John Polkinghorne. What do you think would be said?

In Chapter 3 of The Hot Marble, "The Attack," Lewis is ordered to work with the enemy or his family may be hurt. This is a powerful, but horrible motivator. In a more subtle way, the threat exists with a so-called "normal" situation. For instance, a child feels the tension or anxiety of her parents and adjusts her behaviors to "protect" them. She gets used to not expressing her negative emotions. She doesn't tell what scary things she's seen or experienced. The habit may last well into her future. It takes a while to unlearn that behavior. But it can be unlearned.

The books are closer to wider publication. Getting my proposal to an agent publisher is my current daily effort. Reviewing (thank you, Realms of Fiction writer's group!), editing, researching the market, and finally, submitting the first book. I have a series (the Soul's Warfare ) going; The Hot Marble and The Cave Chamber are completed and published on Amazon.com with Kindle versions available. Book 1 - The Hot Marble: A brilliant young physicist, his fierce love for his younger brother and sister, tender romance with a beautiful woman, and a betraying friend – all caught in a demonic plot to conquer Earth and a world named Lanthra. Christian Science Fiction and Fantasy is starting to take off as a book market. +C. S. Lewis did some; +Kathy Tyers has published several Star Wars novels ;+Frank Peretti has ventured in that direction. The Hot Marble combines genuine science with the supernatural in a Christian orientation. My novels, titled A Soul's Warfare: The Hot Marble, and A Soul's Warfare: Invasions describe my own struggle from atheism to faith. However, the journey is not complete; my beginning faith in God does not equate with faith that Jesus is the Father's Son and my Lord. I reserve that story for the third book in the series, titled A Soul's Recovery. The unedited book titled The Hot Marble is available in Kindle format for $6.99 and at Amazon.com in print copy for $25.00. It is also available at Barnes & Noble.com Please enjoy! Rosemary B. Althoff
